You may be asking yourself what you should be doing with your blueberry plants at this time. Still too soon to fertilize, yet blossoms pulsating. It’s time for fungus prevention! (Hardiness Zones 3-7 typically experience swelling blossoms in March/April, while Hardiness Zones 8-10 experience blossoming earlier.)
Blossom rot can be discouraging, but a good preventative application will keep you from singing the “blues”. Treat your plants now with a fungus spray of your choice, and then again 7-10 days after your blossoms open.
Many people ask us for our recommendation of a fungus spray. Here are some products we recommend: Oxidate, Regalia, and M-Pede which can be found at Deerfield Supplies, LLC 270-265-2425. (They Ship)
